Stewed Chicken with Wine and Garlic Sauce

On this episode we will make a very tasty dish – Stewed Chicken with Wine and Garlic Sauce. It’s one of our favourites, yet not the easiest. Try it and let us know how it turned out ­čÖé Cheers!

INGREDIENTS
2 kg (4.4 lb chicken) (thighs, drumstick)
Butter
Sauce
50 cloves garlic
3 sprigs thyme
Salt
Pepper
1 lemon (to squeeze on top)
1.5 tbsp. honey
300 ml (10.1 fl oz) white wine
3 tbsp. brown sugar
4 tbsp. heavy cream
1.5 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. lemon zest
Mashed potatoes
Boiled potatoes
Milk

DIRECTIONS
1. Put some salt and pepper on the chicken;
2. Melt some butter in pan, add the chicken and fry it until brown crust forms. Move the chicken to another container;
3. Put the garlic into the pan and fry it a bit. Add the honey and brown sugar in. Pour in white wine. Add some thyme. Fry it for a few minutes;
4. Pour the sauce over the chicken and heat the liquid until it starts boiling;
5. Put the pot into the preheated oven at 200 ┬░C (390 ┬░F) for 30ÔÇô45 minutes or until the meat is done;
6. Remove the chicken from the pot;
7. Add flour, lemon zest and heavy cream to the sauce and boil it for a few minutes;
8. Mix the sauce with the meat and boil it for a few more minutes;
9. Make some mashed potatoes by mixing boiled potatoes and boiling milk;
10. Put some mashed potatoes into the plate. Add a piece of chicken on top. Squeeze some lemon juice on top, add some sauce.
